"Disturbed" by the fact that someone was able to make a canoe out of cardboard, Izhar Gafni couldn't put down the idea of trying to make a bike from the same material. Now some years later he says is able to produce the bike for $12 out of recycled cardboard, plastic, and old car tires. The bike weighs roughly 20 lbs will support 300 lbs and is waterproof and fireproof. Solid tires ensure you'll never get a flat and the chain has been replaced by a car timing belt. Oddly enough the bike is funding for $290 a piece right now on Indiegogo, despite the fact we've been told it can be manufactured for $12.
